Mercy Spirituality – Reflections
“We want to follow Jesus Christ,
to take part in his mission of mercy.
To do this, we must first allow ourselves to be loved by God who is mercy [DM2].
To follow Christ
is to let ourselves be led
into the mystery of God’s steadfast, merciful love [Ps 86]. It is to enter,
with all who are one in Christ Jesus, into the revelation of God
as the God of all mercies [2Cor 1:3].”

Mercy spirituality challenges us to be open to recognise the action of a loving God in the everyday of our lives, to contemplate the loving kindness of our God. This prodigality of God pours over - we are called to share with others.
